Es besteht aus hochreinen Quarzpartikeln und umweltfreundlichem Harz und wird unter hoher Temperatur und hohem Druck gepresst. Kunstquarz ähnelt in Aussehen und Textur Naturstein, weist jedoch bessere physikalische Eigenschaften und Verarbeitungseigenschaften auf. Aufgrund seiner wasserdichten, korrosionsbeständigen und leicht zu reinigenden Eigenschaften wird Quarzwerkstoff häufig in der Innenausstattung verwendet, beispielsweise für Küchenarbeitsplatten, Waschbecken, Wand- und Bodenfliesen usw.
